LCRW Architects, based in Aberystywth, were the first business to receive our training on BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes. As Reegen are members of the Institute for Continuing Professional Development, they were pleased that the training also contributed to their Continuing Professional Development. Janet Sanders, Director of Reegen, feels that there is a gap of appreciation and understanding of the issues, costs and timescales that projects may encounter when going down the BREEAM / CSH route. These workshops provide an informal but important way of helping architects, planners, developers and other construction professionals get up to speed. Rory Wilson of LCRW architects said "Thank you to Reegen Ltd for their very informative and well presented seminar session on Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH). To date very little clear and concise guidance appears to be available to the private sector, and in view of the imminent date from which planning applications will have to be accompanied by a CSH Assessment Reegen’s presentation was very timely. “As an architectural practice, LCRW always strives to ensure that our projects are designed with the needs of our clients and the end user paramount but with high regard to the environment and sustainability wherever possible. BREEAM and CSH aims to build better buildings but the issues are varied and can be complex. The training from REEGEN has really helped to demistify the process and given us a good understanding of how they should be implemented."
